The Grand Opening of BlueCross Healthy Place At Pendergrass Park

Posted on April 30, 2024

It was an honor to join the city of Dayton and the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation to celebrate the grand opening of the BlueCross Healthy Place at Pendergrass Park!

We're so proud of this project and of the amazing work BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation is doing to bring inclusive play to communities. They provided $4 million for the project build and an additional $800,000 for a maintenance fund, bringing the total investment in the space to $4.8 million.

The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation is building BlueCross Healthy Places to provide communities with spaces to get to know one another and enjoy healthy activities.

Pendergrass Park is located in the center of the rural city of Dayton and features elements that are unique and special to the town located on the water with a strong affinity for fishing! There are nods to the local bait and tackle shop along with custom fish sculptures that add to the fun.
